Baihana, formed in 2008, is an all-girl jazz trio composed of Krina Cayabyab (Soprano 1), Anna Achacoso (Soprano 2) and Mel Torre (Alto). Creating and arranging songs “that are uniquely refreshing and harmonious especially to the Filipino audience,” the vocal group is also known for the mainstream pop tunes that they transformed into jazz golds. The talented ladies have already bagged Awit Awards for Best New Group Recording Artists and Best Jazz Recording. Their sound is heavily influenced by The Andrews Sisters and other acts from the heyday of jazz, swing and boogie-woogie music.
