The Voice Philippines Season 2 alumnus Daryl Ong is hailed as one the newest RnB royalties in the country. Before captivating the keen ear of Coach Apl D Ap, he has already won the hearts of many with his cover of popular love anthems which he uploads in his personal Youtube channel.
Daryl, originally from Palawan, started singing when he was around six years old. He further honed his talent in music when he joined a local band as the group’s vocalist. He also served as an interpreter for a local songwriting competition for praise songs.
After his stint at The Voice, the 28-year- old artist immediately rose to fame with his remake of the 2009 OPM hit, “Ikaw na Nga.” He has also released a self-titled debut album in August last year under Star Music. It includes tracks such as “Dapat Pa Ba” and “Mabuti Pa,” which has already conquered the airwaves.
