Music has always been part of Janice Javier’s life. At a young age, she joined choirs and competed in contests, with the guidance and coaching of her father, Rolando Javier, 2nd generation Hotdog keyboardist. Soon enough, Janice started doing music professionally, singing commercial jingles and becoming a back-up singer for different clients and bands. Her exceptional talent brought her abroad, where she performed in music establishments in Korea and in Thailand.
In 2013, she got in as a finalist in the first season of The Voice Philippines, under coach Apl D Ap. Although Janice was reluctant to leave her international music career which was then blossoming, she chose to showcase her talent to her fellow Filipinos.
Now, she had already released her self-titled debut album under the MCA Music (Universal Music Philippines). Foreign music icons took part in Janice’s album; her carrier single, “Never Knew Love (Until I Met You)”, was composed by Tjeerd Zanen and Natassja den Toom especially for her. Moreover, her debut concert entitled “The Voice of Janice Javier: Live in Concert” held on July 4, 2015 at Teatrino, Promenade Mall in Greenhills turned out to be a huge success.
