Though the band’s line-up has been changed throughout the past decade, Mayonnaise will remain as one of the most formidable OPM figures the music scene has seen in recent years.
The five-piece alternative rock act first launched in 2004 via a nationwide band competition has already released six studio albums and two extended plays (EPs) to date. Apart from producing smashes such as “Jopay” and “Bakit Part 2,” they are also known for their hit renditions of classics including VST and Company’s “Ipagpatawad Mo.”
Mayonnaise, whose name was taken from a track from Smashing Pumpkin’s “Siamese Dream” album, is currently composed of Monty Macalino (lead vocals, guitars, keyboards), Shan Regalado (drums), Carlo Servano (lead and rhythm guitar), Nikki Tirona (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Maan Furio (rhythm and acoustic guitar, backing vocals).
