Ylona Garcia rose to prominence after entering as a housemate on Pinoy Big Brother 737 in 2015. She finished first runner-up in the popular reality show.  Even before her PBB stint, Ylona has already performed as a front act for Gonzaga Sisters, Sarah Geronimo, Rico J., Florante, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Carol Banawa, Ariel Rivera, Bamboo Manalac and Martin Nievera during their Australian concert tours.

Having been born in Australia, Ylona speaks little Filipino but has dived head on into a crash course for the Filipino language.
