An OPM icon with a timeless voice, and a heart-rending ballad that has been dominating the airwaves and social media. It will be hard not to watch an epic live performance that features a beautiful combination of these two. And this might just probably the reason why Gary Valenciano’s WISHclusive performance of “Wag Ka Nang Umiyak” made it the 10th spot of YouTube PH trends list, as of January 18.

This rendition was one of the songs he delivered on board the Wish 107.5 Bus during his Roadshow guesting last January 10.

An original by Sugarfree, the ballad revival was used as a soundtrack of the TV drama, “Ang Probinsyano.” Gary’s WISHclusive delivery premiered on the Wish 107.5 YouTube Channel on January 15 and has reached over 240,000 views since then.

The video has also earned hundreds of comments lauding Gary’s ever-powerful vocals. “It was not only his face that didn’t age, his voice either. Amazing!,” Bribrey Madbio, a YouTube user, remarked.

Another netizen with user name Mike P. said, “Wow! Walang kupas ang boses niyo Sir Gary V. at parang lalo pa kayong gumagaling as time goes by. Thanks Wish FM for making OPM and OPM artists na makilala paunti-unti sa buong mundo.”
