“You have to hear this. Excellent!,” the Tony-winning Broadway star posted on her social media account as she shared the WISHclusive performance rendered by Alienette, a visually impaired Filipina singer who won third place in the competition “France Has Got Talent.”
The memorable solo of Eponine’s character is a heart-wrenching ballad about unrequited love.
Meanwhile, Alienette also took to social media her excitement when she learned of the news of Salonga lauding her rendition.
“I just can’t believe this. A video of me singing ‘On My Own’ has just been shared by the ‘Les Miserables’ herself, the one and only Ms. Lea Salonga. I’m at loss for words. I want to cry now. God knows how much I love and adore her.”
