It was in 2010 when Sheryn Regis migrated to the United States and settled down in Houston, Texas with her husband. However, from time to time, she visits the country to perform for her avid fans.

This May, the power belter dubbed as Asia’s Crystal Voice is back in the Philippines for a month-long series of shows for PAGCOR.

Prior to her provincial tour, the 37-year-old diva graced the Roadshow on May 4 to give a glimpse of what she will be offering to her audience.

Showing off her crystal-clear vocals, Sheryn performed her signature revival of Wendy Moten’s “Come In Out of the Rain.” This track was actually pivotal in the success of her career as this was the piece she rendered in the grand finals of Star in a Million back in 2003. It also served as her chart-topping debut single.

Though she only placed second in the said competition (next to Erik Santos), Sheryn still enjoyed immense success. Since she was launched in the music scene, she released four studio albums that spawned hits used in several TV dramas (e.g. “Kailan Kaya” for Marina, “Sa Piling Mo” for Gulong ng Palad).

On board the Wish 107.5 Bus, she also performed her take on Peabo Bryson and Roberta Flack’s “Maybe,” and a ballad rendition of Bon Jovi’s “Always.”

In an interview with DJ Robin, she also said that she will be having a free show at the Ayala Center Cebu Terraces on June 3. Entitled “Just Stand Up,” the concert is presented by Brown Academy of Music.

Apart from singing and doing shows, she also busies herself hosting The Pinoy Houston TV’s magazine-format talk show, “Howdy Philippines.”
