When heard over the airwaves, one wouldn’t believe that the lady who boarded the Wish 107.5 Bus last Tuesday, February 7, and belted out Yeng Constantino’s “Ikaw” was a mere 15-year-old high-schooler.
Adelene Rabulan, who hails from Bulacan, made it into the local limelight with her recent stint on the popular noontime singing contest, “Tawag ng Tanghalan.” A four-time daily champ, she received praises and even got a standing ovation with her impressive pieces, including “Chandelier.”
After her TNT journey, she next conquered Wish 107.5’s early evening program, Roadshow.
Apart from singing an outstanding rendition of the Constantino-penned hit, she also performed Meghan Trainor’s electro-pop track “Me Too,” Etta James’ soulful and bluesy smash “At Last” and Christina Perri’s tender tune “A Thousand Years (Part 2),” showing the variety of genre she can slay.
During her guesting, she shared that she is optimistic in pursuing her singing career. She also revealed that she plans to write original compositions as well.
Rabulan, who got her musical genes from her mom, further shared her ultimate wish — to finish her studies and have a successful career in the music industry in the future. And with her young age and undeniable talent, who knows how far will she go?
Besides Rabulan, other TNT contenders have also hopped on the Wish 107.5 Bus and graced the Roadshow with their singing chops. The roster includes Lucky Robles, grand finalists Eumee Capile, Noven Belleza, Gidget Dela Llana, Maricel Callo, Pauline Agupitan, and Marielle Montellano; and semi-finalists Sam Mangubat, Julia Faith Joaquin, Hazelyn Cascano and Froilan Canlas.
