A Surreal Sunday at Lubao International Balloon Festival 2015

The Wish 1075 bus delivered a musical extravaganza at the conclusion of this year’s Lubao International Balloon Festival (LIBF).

The Lubao International Balloon Festival is known as the biggest annual hot air balloon festival in Southeast Asia. Marking its second year, the festival ran from March 26 to 29 at the open field in Pradera Verde, Barangay Prado Siongco, Lubao, Pampanga.

Featuring more than 40 creative and stunning hot air balloons from different countries like USA, Germany, and Malaysia, the festival drew over 150,000 tourists from all walks of life.

It was a scene straight out of a surreal dream world where a giant Darth Vader head floated in the sky along with a birthday cake, a clown and several dozen more balloons in every imaginable shape and color.

Other activities included a balloon fight, motor paragliding show, bazaar, cultural presentation, paint ball exhibition, carnival rides, kite flying, live bands and a fireworks display.

Just when people thought things couldn’t get more exciting, the Wish 1075 bus rolled into the scene on March 29 with DJ Flynn Ryder and The Voysings where they aired the Golden Sunday program.

Overloading with fun and excitement, the LIBF is an annual must-see event that Filipinos and international tourists alike should include in their summer bucket lists.

With all fun activities, music, and balloon-filled sky, LIBF is indeed a must-see event, not just for Filipinos, but for tourists from all over the world.

The festival was organized by Pilipinas International Balloon Festival, Inc. (PIBF) together with Arts, Culture and Tourism Office (ACTO) and Provincial Government of Pampanga.
