Animo Media Choice Awards 2018: Wish 107.5 Bags 'Best FM Radio Station' Tilt

The De La Salle Dasmariñas Alumni Association, Inc. (DLSDAAI) honored Wish 107.5 with the prestigious “Best FM Radio Station” award through its first-ever Animo Media Choice Awards.

The awarding ceremony coincided with their grand alumni homecoming celebration held on July 21, Saturday, at the Ugnayang La Salle, DLSU - Dasmariñas Campus.

The organization bestowed recognitions to the best names both in the television and radio broadcasting industries. Around 2,000 alumni took part in the voting process that began on June 20 and ended on July 9.

The award-giving body was named after the popular LaSallian battle cry “Animo,” which means “spirit to fight.”

DJ Alice of the programs “Wonderland” and “Roadshow” and DJ Adam of "Moonlight Wishes" received the award on behalf of the radio station.

Earlier in May, Wish 107.5 received the same nod from the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Manila’s UmalohokJUAN Media Awards. Meanwhile, DLSU-Araneta, another LaSallian campus, recognized the radio station’s Wishclusive video series with a “Best Social Media Platform Usage” award in September last year.

Helmed by veteran broadcaster and media personality Kuya Daniel Razon, Wish 107.5 is best known for introducing different groundbreaking innovations in music and radio broadcasting. These include the Wish 107.5 Bus, the Wish YouTube channels, the Wish Music Awards, and Wishcovery among others.

Apart from maintaining a radio programming that caters to hit songs from the 70’s up to the present, the station has also been sustaining a wish-granting advocacy to further bring positive change to the lives of its listeners and avid supporters.

Wish 107.5 is set to celebrate its fourth anniversary in August.
