‘Ano’ng Wish Mo?’: A Glimpse at Wish 107.5’s Beginnings

“Ano’ng Wish Mo?” (What’s Your Wish?). Three simple words. One simple question that aims to solicit a great number of answers.

It was a campaign in social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter. Then, banners and tarps were seen posted around the metro, in major schools and malls. It was called the "Wishing Walls." People started writing on them while netizens were posting their wishes on Facebook and Twitter; each has a story to tell — some wished for themselves, others for their loved ones, friends, neighbors, and classmates, and many just wanted to express their wishes or have it aired over the radio.

This mysterious campaign has made people feel that their wishes, big or small, were important and that somebody will act on them. No wonder it has effectively attracted attention.

When the campaign was unveiled to be a special feature of Wish 107.5 as an FM station that “plays your requests and grants your wishes," followers were in awe and taken by surprise that some of the wishes whether posted online or written on the Wishing Wall have actually came to life.

Wish 107.5 aims to continually stay true to this campaign and to its name. In the past year since its take-off, Wish 107.5 has already granted many wishes sent in by its avid listeners and supporters, collectively called as ‘Wishers’.

This blog post has completely changed my perspective on music. It's a must-read for any music lover.
