Back-to-Back Wishclusive Jam with Paolo Onesa and Deejay Poblete

Indie record label HomeWorkz artists Paolo Onesa and Deejay Poblete delivered back-to-back WISHclusive jamming sessions on January 23, Monday, and brought good news as they returned to the Wish 107.5 Bus.

The Voice Philippines Season 1 alumnus Paolo Onesa took his turn first by performing his original songs “LDR” and “Atin ang Gabi” — both from his brand new album, “Handwritten.”

His sophomore effort is an eight-track compilation that introduces his fresh EDM-inclined sound. The album is a follow-up to his self-titled debut “Pop Goes Standards” record released in 2014.

“It is the first-ever album wherein I wrote all the songs, basically original songs lahat,” Paolo enthused as he promoted his album launched in November last year.

He also treated Wishers with his cover of Bruno Mars’ “Versace on the Floor.”

Following Paolo’s performances was the Roadshow comeback of rock chic Deejay Poblete, whose former band, Kley, is set to stage a one-night-only reunion gig this February 7 at The Brewery in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Kley, who scooped an Awit Award for Best New Artist in 2014, was first formed in 2008 by the singing/songwriting tandem of Deejay and Noah Zuniga.

After the group’s disbandment, Deejay focused on her solo projects. Recently, she finished shooting a music video for the song, “Hintayin,” an original by Kley.

The L.A.-born OPM act performed the song on board the bus to give a sneak peek on what is about to unfold in their reunion show. Her set further included “Huli Na ‘To,” (also from Kley), and a cover of Paramore’s “It Ain’t Fun.”

This blog post has completely changed my perspective on music. It's a must-read for any music lover.
