Barbie Almalbis, Imago, Autotelic, and More: Catch These OPM Acts on Wish 107.5’s ‘Wish Month’ Kick-off

Wish 107.5 is turning five this August! And there’s no better way to kick off “Wish Month” — the radio station’s month-long celebration of its anniversary — than to stage back-to-back-to-back performances from top-notch OPM acts.

On August 1, Wish will air three of its radio programs, namely The Wish List, The Roadshow, and Wishpers of Love, live from the Wish 107.5 Bus which will be parked at the Ayala Malls Circuit Makati. These broadcasts will be highlighted by musical sessions from a diverse line-up of guests.

The Wish List (12 p.m. to 4 p.m.) will be fronted by veteran Pinoy rock act Imago. Pop-rock quartet Iktus and rising rapper M$TRYO will also grace the show hosted by DJ Jenie.

DJ Alice, the jock in charge of regularly manning the Wish Bus through the program The Roadshow (4 p.m. to 8 p.m.), will welcome another set of performers led by rockoustic icon Barbie Almalbis and pop band Autotelic. Completing her show’s roster of musical guests are OPM songstress Sassa Dagdag and Wishcovery Season 2 grand winner, Rhea Basco.

The kick-off event will cap off with DJ Faye’s Wishpers of Love (8 p.m. to 11 p.m.), which will feature performances from acclaimed OPM outfit Side A, indie star Keiko Necesario, pop/alt-rock upstart Music Hero, and vocal group 5thGen.

Apart from offering live musical performances, Wish 107.5 will also give back to its avid supporters by giving away exclusive merchandise items like shirts, jackets, and stickers.

Throughout August, Wish will further bring different musical acts across the metro via the Wish Bus during the Roadshow’s time slot — just like what it has done since its inception in August 2014. The promos for merchandise giveaway will also continue on the air, online, and during the station’s on-ground activations.

The “Wish Month” will end in a culminating concert on August 25 at the Aliw Theater. Billed as the “365 Anniversary Concert,” the musical spectacle boasts a line-up of OPM heavyweights including KZ Tandingan, Ben&Ben, IV of Spades, December Avenue, and Darren Espanto.

The number 365 represents the station’s recent milestones: launching three buses, hitting six million subscribers on YouTube, and reaching its fifth year in the industry.

This blog post has completely changed my perspective on music. It's a must-read for any music lover.
