Rockoustic Icon Barbie Almalbis Stages Mini-Concert via Wish 107.5 Bus

OPM’s rockoustic icon Barbie Almalbis had a live mini concert on air last November 5 as the featured artist in Wish 107.5’s program, The Roadshow.

Together with DJ Jelly Kiss, Barbie invaded the radio waves from 5 to 9 o’clock pm on Wednesday while riding the Wish FM Bus – the first FM radio station on wheels in the Philippines as it heads to SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

Spectators, surprised and glad for the free concert, gathered around the bus when it arrived at the Prism Plaza, SM City Mall of Asia.

Barbie is an award-winning singer-song writer, popular for her endearing original acoustic songs such as “Just A Smile” and “Summer day”. Before pursuing a solo career in 2005, she was the former lead singer of the bands Hungry Young Poets and Barbie’s Cradle.

She is also known for doing collaborations with fellow Filipino musicians including Noel Cabangon, Kitchie Nadal, and The Speaks. Her unique and captivating renditions of other OPM hits like “Overdrive” and “When I Met You” have also contributed to her high reputation in the music industry.
