Ben&Ben Surprise Fans with Exclusive Concert in Front of Their Homes

Saving up to secure tickets, waiting for months, and queueing up to witness our favorite artists perform the pieces we love is what we, music lovers, do.

But how about instead of singing along from a distance, your dream concert experience happens right at your doorstep?

OPM folk-pop band Ben&Ben have recently shared a unique bond with their fans, whom they refer to as Liwanags, by serenading them beyond the typical walls of concert halls. They call it “#BenAndBenSaTapat,” a surprise exclusive concert bringing their music straight to their fans’ homes.

“Nanggaling siya sa isang matagal-tagal nang joke online. Sa comment section kasi namin, laging may nakalagay na ‘concert sa tapat ng bahay namin, when?’, ‘concert sa tapat ng school namin, when?’, at ngayon tinotoo namin siya,” vocalist and guitarist Miguel Benjamin Guico said in a video on Instagram.

The band would randomly select fans on social media who wish to see them grace a performance in front of their homes.

“Saan tayo pupunta? Pupunta tayo sa bahay ng isang Liwanag,” Miguel Benjamin said while heading to their first stop.

According to bassist Agnes Reoma, “So, ayun na nga, pupunta kami sa lahat ng mga nag-comment ng ‘What if sa bahay naman namin?’”

“Papunta na kami ngayon sa mga bahay niyo,” she added.

During these impromptu concerts, Liwanags get a taste of Ben and Ben’s talent up close, beyond the typical concert experience.

“Matagal na talaga namin to gustong gawin lalo na pag nababasa namin yung comments na sa tapat naman ng bahay namin, sa tapat naman ng school namin,” the Wish-award-winning band said in their Instagram post.

Meanwhile, Ben&Ben recently penned an appreciation message to their Liwanag on social media as they celebrated three years of the fandom’s official establishment.

The band also recently graced the Wish 107.5 Bus to perform their song, “Could Be Something.”
