All Roads Lead to the Marikina Sports Center for ‘Cycle of Life’: Wish 107.5’s 8th Anniversary Show

Wish 107.5 first hit the airwaves and introduced the iconic Wish Bus in August 2014. And after eight years since its launch, the radio station continues to bring the Filipino brand of music to the world — with no signs of slowing down.

On August 28, 2022, Wishers, music supporters, and motoring enthusiasts will come together for Wish 107.5’s most unique anniversary celebration to date. The event, dubbed “Cycle of Life,” is slated to happen from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Marikina Sports Center.

The much-anticipated revelry will treat Wishers to a live concert featuring international act and 6th Wish Music Awards’ KDR Icon of Music and Philanthropy Arnel Pineda, Pinoy rock icon Jett Pangan, alt-rock troupe Mayonnaise, singer-songwriter Zild, hip-hop stars CLR and Pricetagg, acoustic rock artist Jason Fernandez, Filipina music-maker Shanne Dandan, Wishcovery Originals grand winner and alt-folk act Peniel, and rising belter Kim Baluzo.

A multi-route ‘Wish Ride’

On top of the live performances, Wish 107.5 will hold a special “Wish Ride” event involving groups of motorbike riders from Metro and Mega Manila. The multi-route motorcade will begin at in Orani, Bataan, and in Ermita, Manila and BGC, Taguig. The ride will start at 5 a.m. and 7 a.m., respectively, for Bataan and Metro Manila starting points.

Interested motorists can register via www.wish1075.com/wishride. Each officially registered Wish Ride participant is entitled to one (1) raffle entry during the main event at the Marikina Sports Center. The grand prize for the raffle is a 150cc scooter.

The Wish Ride is part of the unveiling of the station’s newest advocacy that is set to be revealed on the day of the anniversary show. Alongside this debut, Wish will also be granting the wishes of eight deserving beneficiaries.

Paving paths for OPM and charity

The anniversary celebration will also highlight how the station, since day one, has been championing great Filipino talent and constantly purveying hope amid uncertain times in the form of charity. Music and charity are, after all, the driving force behind Wish 107.5’s endeavors.

“From our iconic Wish Buses that traverse long and great roads to our twelve-point-four-million-strong YouTube channel, we provide a global stage for the outstanding songs created by our world-class OPM acts,” Wish 107.5 innovator Kuya Daniel Razon stated in his 7th Wish Music Awards speech. As of writing, Wish 107.5’s official YouTube channel now has 13.3 million subscribers.

He also cited how Wish strives to be a constant source of Filipino pride and inspiration during the FM station’s seventh anniversary celebration, during which Wish gave seven gifts of love to deserving communities.
