Enchanted Kingdom Celebrates 21 Years with Memorable Magical Experiences

Sta. Rosa, Laguna – The first and only world-class theme park in the Philippines celebrated 21 years of magic with musical performances and the launch of its latest EKciting attraction- Ghostbusters Adventure Live! on October 15, 2016.

Enchanted Kingdom’s Chairman & President Mario O. Mamon and Chief Operating Officer Cynthia R. Mamon were on hand to welcome the thousands of guests who flocked to the theme park to celebrate its founding day.

The celebrations began with the opening of the Ghostbusters Adventure Live! A walk-through attraction, highlighted by the appearance of monsters and ghouls who were banished with the use of proton packs in ceremonies led by celebrity guest Alodia Gosengfiao and Mr. Lynton Harris, CEO of The Sudden Impact! Entertainment Company. The fun, family-friendly attraction, which is based on the 2 Hollywood blockbuster films, was launched in time to give guests added thrills and chills this Halloween season.

A special musical concert was also held at the Spaceport hosted by Ms. Angel Aquino, Richard Reynoso and Mr. Franz Imperial. The program opened with performances by EK’s own premier vocal groups, The Kingsmen and Victoria’s Way. R&B group Climax moved the audience with their own brand of groove. Yael Yuzon and the rest of the well-loved rock band Sponge Cola came onstage and drew the crowd into frenzy with their top hits. The performers shared their recollections of fun times at the park. This was even more poignant as singer/actress Rita Daniela reminisced about her time as a Cast Member at EK, and followed it up with the Regine Velasquez hit “Dadalhin Kita Sa Aking Palasyo”, which she revealed was actually one of the songs that were written by music maker Tats Faustino for Enchanted Kingdom.

Heartthrob Alden Richards added an extra special helping of wizard magic as he made a surprise appearance at the concert, to the delight of his fans. He congratulated EK for its successful 21 years and dedicated his song “Wish I May” to all the park guests who came to celebrate along with him.

All throughout the night, astounding Sky Wizardry Fireworks Exhibition by the award-winning Platinum Fireworks group lit up the skies, with 15 minutes each of tributes to Filipino’s world-class talent, innate love for family and pride for country.

As the theme park moves towards its third decade, it expands to create more magical memories for its guests. This December, it will launch its most ambitious project to date, Agila: The EKsperience, which will send viewers on a breathtaking eagle-eyed ride through some of the country’s best and most beautiful destinations in realistic 7-D simulation. With the new attractions, park guests can now bring home not only their memories of an enjoyable time well spent with their loved ones, but also a spirit of love for nature and Filipino pride.
