Erik Santos Surprises Passers-by With Live Performance and New Music

Passers-by along Timog Avenue slowed to a halt until a small crowd began to build as people started gathering in front of the parked Wish Bus to catch a rare impromptu appearance by the country’s Prince of Pop, Erik Santos.

Not expecting to bump into a pop-star on their way home, fans were more than happy to be treated to a mini-live concert as Erik offered a glimpse of his latest music offering while promoting his new album, “Champion Reborn,” on Wish 107.5 on December 2.

According to the singer, who co-produced the album, it is “high time for fans to listen to his new music.”
“Champion Reborn” features 15 tracks, which includes duets with some of today’s biggest OPM artists such as Angeline Quinto and Kyla.

On the Roadshow with Wishjock Jelly Kiss, Erik sang a few lines from his first single, “Tandaan Mo ‘To,” a collaboration with rap icon Gloc 9.

The singer shared he is “very thankful that [Gloc 9] said yes to this project.”

“When I heard a demo of this song, I did not think of any name except for Gloc 9. He is the best rapper of this generation,” he shared.

Asked about his dream collaborations, he said he looks forward to working with the industry’s new brood of talents and composers.

Erik also praised the concept of Wish 107.5 Bus, saying that his Wishperience is “something new” and “exciting.”
“Hopefully, I could come back here when I promote my second single,” he added.

Another highlight of his Roadshow guesting was his performance of “I’ll Never Go” and “Say You’ll Never Go” medley.
