Fil-Am Rapper Ez Mil Signs with Eminem and Dr. Dre

In the ever-changing landscape of the music industry, an opportunity to shine and make a mark is a dream for every artist — and that dream is turning into reality for breakthrough artist Ez Mil as he signs with three major music labels: Eminem’s Shady Records, Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment, and Interscope Records.

American rapper-producer Eminem’s record label, Shady Records, is known for its discerning earwhen it comes to signing talents, similar to Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment.

Over the years, the labels have primarily focused on nurturing rap and hip-hop artists who have made a substantial impact on the music industry. Shady Records boasts an impressive roster of artists, from renowned rappers like 50 Cent and D12 to talented musicians like Yelawolf and Obie Trice.

The turning point of the joint partnership came when Mil’s single “Up Down,” released under Virgin Music in February this year, caught the attention of rap legend Eminem. Em was then prompted to introduce the Fil-Am singer-songwriter to award-winning fellow artist Dr. Dre.

“We’ve never been out there signing a lot of artists, and one of the great things about how we built Shady is how selective we’ve been,” Eminem said, according to a press release from Shady Records. “And it’s even rarer that Dre and I sign something together, but I heard Ez’s music, and was like, ‘his is really special,’ so I took it to Dre. We both agreed it would be a great fit and we wanted to work with him right on the spot,” the rapper added.

“Em played me Ez, and I had that feeling — that thing that happens when we both know we’ve found something special. And that was it, let’s get to work,” Dr. Dre added.

With Ez joining the three record labels, his career is poised for even greater heights.

Looking back, Ez’s rise to fame was nothing short of extraordinary, with his breakthrough moment coming through the viral success of his performance on the Wish USA Bus with his original and Wish award-winning song “Panalo.” The cariñosa-infused track that talks about patriotism racked up more than 79 million views on YouTube as of writing.

Meanwhile, Ez Mil’s forthcoming album “DU4LI7Y: REDUX,” the deluxe edition of his 2022 LP “DU4LI7Y,” is set to drop on August 11. The album includes his single “Realest,” featuring none other than Eminem himself.

“DU4LI7Y: REDUX” will be the rapper’s final project with Virgin Music.
