Glesilda Cacho: A Sweet Surprise for a Diabetic Brother

Glesilda Cacho’s husband is an avid radio listener. When he was searching for good music being played on air, what he discovered was more than an all-hits station; he stumbled upon a station that grants the wishes of its listeners – Wish 1075.

The housewife from Bacoor, Cavite was then influenced by her husband to tune in. And it was through this intervention that she was able to have her wish for her diabetic brother fulfilled.

Her wish was a manifestation of her love. Her older brother, who lives in Novaliches with his own family, has been bed-ridden for almost a month. Because of diabetic complications, he had fluid in his lungs and half of his body was paralyzed.

For Glesilda, just the thought of her kuya lying in bed, being unable to provide for his wife and children is disheartening. She also shared how her brother’s family is having financial difficulties shouldering his medical expenses.

As a loving sister who lives over fifty kilometres away from her brother, one thing she thought she could do was to wish on his behalf. To her delight, she was one of the lucky listeners chosen by Wish 1075.

She recalls that fateful day when her husband first tuned in to the station.  She gathered the strength to voice out her simple dream, and was able to give a sweet surprise to her brother – medicines that will somehow give him comfort.

To Wish 1075, Glesilda extended her sincerest gratitude as she was able to be of help to her beloved family member,“Thank you. I hope you continue to be a blessing to others.”
