The show, to be led by CineConcerts conductor John Jesensky, will showcase the 2002 film’s 20-song album by award-winning American composer John Williams.
The “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in Concert” is the second chapter of CineConcerts’ Harry Potter Film Concert Series that has been staged in 48 countries since 2016.
The first part of the concert series, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in Concert,” was held in Manila in August 2019. The songs were performed by the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra, led by musical conductor and composer Gerard Salonga.
In the upcoming concert, Muggles will have a viewing of “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” on a 40-foot HD screen while the symphony orchestra surrounds the theater with their live performance of the movie’s scores.
Moreover, Pinoy Potterheads are encouraged to let their inner Harry, Ron, Hermione, or even Hagrid shine through, as concertgoers are welcome to come dressed as their favorite Hogwarts Wizards, according to CineConcerts. However, the show producer also stressed that it is best to check the venue’s guidelines on restrictions.
Tickets are now on sale via Ticketworld outlets and online, offering a range of five ticket choices, priced from Php 3,801 to Php 8,688 for all three showtimes — 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on August 19 and 1 p.m. on August 20.
