Rising Global Pop Group HORI7ON to Hold their Debut Homecoming Concert this September

After their successful fan meet event and their recent debut in South Korea, the boys of the global pop group HORI7ON returned to the Philippines to stage their first-ever concert.

Presented by MLD Entertainment and DNM Entertainment, the “HORI7ON 1ST CONCERT: Friend-SHIP [Voyage To Manila]” is happening on September 9, 2023, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Armed with their debut album “Friend-SHIP,” the all-Filipino boy group is ready to set sail to surprise their Pinoy ANCHORs with their special performances and showcase their original offerings from the said record.

Tickets for the concert are available via Ticketnet Online. Ticket prices range from Php1,700 for Upper Box seats to Php5,800 for SVIP Seated seats.

“Hello, Philippines. We’re back. Filipino ANCHORs, alam kong matagal kayong naghintay for HORI7ON to come back and matagal kaming hindi nakapag-perform dito. Pero sa September 9, sa Araneta, we’ll be performing again,” said HORI7ON Leader Vinci during a one-on-one interview at Novotel Hotel on September 5, 2023.

Ahead of their concert, we sat down with Vinci, Kim, Kyler, Reyster, Winston, Jeromy, and Marcus at the Novotel Hotel and asked about their preparations, plans, and what had changed so far.

Share with us a core memory of your training in South Korea.

Kyler: For me, ‘yung pinaka naging memorable po na training namin sa Korea is ‘yung paggawa po namin at pag-follow ng choreo sa “SIX7EEN,” which is ‘yung debut song namin. Sobrang pinaghandaan po namin, sobrang hirap po, marami po kaming pinagdaanan.

What has changed so far?

Marcus: I think [the] biggest change, like, compared to when we were in the Philippines and when we arrived in Korea, or maybe now is ‘yung Korean skills namin.  We started from zero, like, zero experience, and now we can all read, right? We can now do Hangul. We can speak a little bit. We’re still learning to be able to converse properly and fluently. So, hopefully, that will happen soon. But we can talk now. Yeah.

Kim: Siguro ‘yung mindset ko. Kasi nung bago ako umalis dito, ‘yung mindset ko parang nahihiya pa ako. Hanggang nung sa Korea, parang kahit hindi na ako marunong… wala nang Tagalog dun. So, pinipilit ko na lang na makipag-communicate talaga. So, yung confidence ko tumaas, ‘yung mindset tumaas din.

What’s your ultimate wish for HORI7ON?

Vinci: My ultimate for HORI7ON is to become a role model for other artists and Filipinos in general. Parang gusto kong maging role models kami ng mga Pinoy young dreamers who want to pursue the same dreams. Or even if it’s not the same dream, just to have an aspiration in your life. I hope everyone is inspired by us.

Marcus: I want HORI7ON to have a first win or an award, a trophy. I want to see something that I can hold and it says, “HORI7ON.” That would be great.

Reyster: Ang wish ko sa HORI7ON ay mag-improve pa kami at makapag world tour.    

What song will you perform aboard the Wish 107.5 Bus soon?

Vinci: What do you guys want to perform?

HORI7ON: “SIX7EEN!”

Vinci: Yes, our title track, “SIX7EEN,” because it’s what we’ve promoted in South Korea and we want to bring that to the Wish Bus.

Marcus: It’s a great honor to perform on the Wish Bus.
