Jemma Querubin: An Enchanted Day in Jemma’s Life

Jemma Querubin of Toledo, Cavite is a dedicated public elementary teacher and a loving mother to a two-year-old girl.

Behind every lesson that she teaches is a fervent wish that what she imparts would make an impact on her students. She also dreams of affording a bright future for her precious daughter.

Little did she know that her constant wishing is about to pay off.

A trip to wonderland

Jemma finds joy in making her daughter happy.  Stumbling upon the fan page Ano’ng Wish Mo (What’s Your Wish) on her Facebook timeline one day, she posted a simple wish for her daughter Precious without hesitation:

“Simpleng wish lang – maipasyal ko ang anak ko sa Enchanted Kingdom. Makita ko lang masaya ang anak ko, abot hanggang langit ang nararamdam ko,” she shared.

(It is just a simple wish – a trip to Enchanted Kingdom for my daughter. Seeing her happy gives me a feeling of extreme joy)

Enchanted Kingdom, also known as EK, is a famous amusement park in the country located at Sta. Rosa, Laguna. EK is 800 kilometers away from Gemma and her daughter. She doubted her wish would even be considered.

So when Wish107.5, the FM station behind the fan page, called to say they will grant  the trip to EK, she was more thankful than ever.

A dream comes true

Jemma and Precious spent the whole day experiencing the magic of Enchanted Kingdom. Together with her nephew, Justin who lives in a city near Laguna, they toured the whole park and tried the rides they cannot find back in their hometown.

From the smiles that lingered on their faces that day, anyone could see how this rare opportunity meant to them.

“Ang swerte ko, so blessed talaga,” Jemma enthused. “Malaki ang pasasalamat ko dahil isa ako sa wishers na tinupad yung pangarap,” she added.

(“I am lucky and so blessed,” Gemma enthused. “I am very grateful because I am one of the wishers whose dream was fulfilled.”)

A grateful Jemma greeted the FM station who made one day of their lives an enchanted one.

“Sa management, maraming salamat po, at saka sa mga DJ, maraming maraming salamat din po. Sana’y magpatuloy po kayo. More power to your station…at sa mga wishers just keep on wishing.”

(“To the management, thank you. And to the DJS, thank you very much. I wish that you will continue [granting wishes]. More power to your station…and to you wishers, just keep on wishing.”)
