Jolina Magdangal Returns with ‘Back to Love’

Jolina Magdangal is undoubtedly one of the names that will pop into your head when you talk about 90’s Philippine showbiz pop culture. With her undeniable charm and striking fashion sense, she rose to prominence as a teen sensation back in the 90s.

Even with her over two decades of colorful career, she continues to shine as a seasoned actress; award-winning singer; a loving wife and a hands-on mother.

As a gift to her loyal fans, Jolina recently returned to the record industry and released the studio album “Back to Love” under Star Music.

Jolens, as she is fondly called in the showbiz industry, joined Wish jock Jelly Kiss on February 23 to promote her newest musical offering and filled the Wish 107.5 Bus with her distinctive voice.

Boarding the country’s first FM-on-wheels, she shared how grateful she is for having a new album. “[I’m glad I’m] back to my first love – singing; back to doing an album after seven years,” she said.

Included in the tracks are a new version of “Kapag Ako Ay Nagmahal” with Gloc-9, “Chuva Choo Choo” with Vice Ganda, a new song with Kyla, and her carrier single “Ikaw Ba ‘Yon,” which she sang live on the Wish 107.5 Bus.

She also entertained questions from her fans. Asked about the meaning of her hit novelty love song “Chuva Choo Choo,” she eagerly quipped, “Parang nilagyan mo ng word yung feeling ng kilig, ng kabog ng dibdib kapag katabi mo si crush.”

A netizen also asked her what it feels like doing projects with her on-screen love team Marvin Agustin after so many years, she replied, “Masaya ako kapag siya ang katrabaho…komportable na kami sa isa’t isa.”

She also thanked her fans for staying by her side, always there supporting her endeavors even after now that she has a family of her own. “Natutuwa ako kasi yung mga fans dati, may family na rin,” she shared, citing her delight of having supporters who grew up with her.

Overwhelmed with her WISHperience, she remarked, “First time ko mag-perform sa ganito, kakaibia yung feeling. Dahil sa Wish, nagawa ko ‘to at nakantahan ko kayo.”

The Wish 107.5 Bus was parked along EDSA Caloocan.
