PH’s Next Jukebox King Jovit Baldivino Takes Listeners Back to the '90s OPM
Jovit Baldivino, touted as the country’s next Jukebox King, captivated a crowd of listeners and passers-by at the Quezon City Circle during his guesting at Wish 1075’s Roadshow program on June 23 to promote his album, “Jukebox.”
Jovit showed off his charismatic vocal prowess and took the audience back to the 90s OPM, singing Jeremiah’’s “Nanghihinayang” and April Boy Regino’s “Honey, My Love (So Sweet).”
“Jukebox,” his fourth studio album, is composed of thirteen original tracks and covers. It was launched on June 25 under Star Music.
The 21-year-old artist is the first ever grand champion of the popular talent show Pilipinas Got Talent. He became a household name for his exceptional rendition of classic love anthems, “Faithfully” and “Mula sa Puso.”
Jovit is the latest OPM artist to perform in the first FM-on-wheels, the Wish 1075 Bus. Amazed by the concept of a roving music hub, he said that his experience of giving a mini-live concert along the metropolitan streets is “super cool” and “super enjoyable.”
His album “Juxebox” is now available in record stores nationwide and online via iTunes, Amazon.com, MyMusicStore.com.ph, and Starmusic.ph.
