Kitchie Nadal, Moonstar88 Headline Wish 107.5 Fisher Mall Tour
With OPM pop rock idols Kitchie Nadal and Moonstar 88 on the lead, Wish 1075 invaded the Fisher Mall, Quezon City through a live concert featuring some of the country’s outstanding artists and bands during the Roadshow’s mall tour on December 15.
The two music icons gathered a large crowd and offered a trip down memory lane as they sang some of their hits such as “Bulong” and “Torete." These songs made names in the airwaves in the mid and late 2000s, considered as the golden years of modern Pinoy pop rock era.
Kitchie Nadal, most known for singing the 2004 love anthem “Wag na Wag Mong Sasabihin”, also performed a few cuts from her latest album, Malaya.
On the other hand, the band Moonstar 88 also wowed the crowd with their rendition of Apo Hiking Society’s classic “Panalangin."
The OPM stars also joined Wish jock Jelly Kiss at the Wish1075 Bus, which was parked along Quezon Avenue, for an interview.
Sharing the spotlight with Kitchie and Moonstar 88 are the up-and-coming band The Voysing and teen idols Joshua Dionisio and Shanne Velasco.
Joshua Dionisio took time off his acting stints to showcase his singing prowess with an interpretation of “This Time” and “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved.”
Meanwhile, Shanne Velasco performed a medley of love songs — “I’ll Always Love You”, “Longer” and “More Than You’ll Ever Know” — that captured the hearts of listeners.
The Voysing energized the crowd with their renditions of Beatles and Bee Gees songs and selected upbeat singles from their debut album.
Apart from the fun live concert experience, some lucky wishers from the Philippine Maritime Institute at the show got Wish 1075 shirts by participating in a game. Students from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines also got to go on stage and sing during Kitchie’s performance.
