Leanne and Naara Drop New Single 'New York and Back'

After the success of their debut single, “Again,” acoustic duo Leanne and Naara return with the soft and songful “New York and Back.” According to the fast-rising, music-crafting tandem, “the song is about defying distance and never letting it get in the way of real love.”

The ladies are hopeful that many will be able to relate to their new song, “especially those people who are in long distance relationships,” as what they shared in an interview with Billboard PH.

In 2016, the two successfully penetrated the local music scene with “Again,” a “song that tries to explain how it feels like to be empty or dull.” The tune topped the local Spotify viral charts and reached no. 12 on the Global Viral 50. It also garnered one million streams in a short span of two months after its release in August.

The duo was also nominated in the 2nd Wish 107.5 Music Awards under the Best WISHclusive Performance by a Group or a Duo with their cover of Alanis Morissette’s “Ironic.”
