Lola Amour Debuts Latest Single, ‘Raining In Manila’

It’s been raining in Manila lately and Lola Amour’s newest offering is perfectly well-timed.

On June 14, 2023, OPM rock band Lola Amour officially released their latest single, “Raining In Manila.” The city pop track, co-written by their frontman Pio Dumayas and their bassist Raymond King, serves as their comeback song this 2023.

In an April 2023 interview, the band — which is known for creating fun, relatable, and vibrant tracks, such as “Fallen” and “Pwede Ba” — shared that they are set to produce the songs that they made during the pandemic this year.

Clocking in at almost 5 minutes, “Raining In Manila,” is Lola Amour’s “hardest song to play,” according to Manu Dumayas, the band’s trumpeter.

During their gig at the “We Play Here” concert held in April 2023, the band included “Raining In Manila” in their set, and dedicated it to their former bandmates, saxophonist Joxx Perez and drummer Renzo Santos.

As of writing, “Raining In Manila” already has over 300,000 streams on Spotify and over 150,000 views on YouTube.
