Marion Aunor Brings Taglish Hits Back on Air with ‘Free Fall Into Love’

Another music act boarded the Wish bus on January 15 to promote a track that brings back Filipinos’ romance with Taglish pop songs.

Marion Aunor, daughter of singer Lala Aunor and niece of Superstar Nora Aunor, performed her latest single, “Free Fall Into Love,” on her second Roadshow stint.

The song captures the musings of a typical hopeless romantic with a catchy, upbeat melody.

Marion distinguishes herself from her contemporaries by taking the risk of crafting music that uses both the Filipino and English languages.

Her previous songs, “Pumapag-ibig” and “If You Ever Change Your Mind,” follow the same structure.

Modern and fresh, Marion’s tracks prove that she has what it takes to dominate the local music scene on her own merits rather than piggybacking on her superstar kin’s fame.

Apart from the said cut from her latest album, she also rendered her own version of Adele’s record-breaking comeback hit, “Hello.”

Marion also thanked the station and her fans for her nominations in the recently-concluded Wish 107.5 Music Awards, stating that the support she had been receiving is one prime reason why she is motivated to share more of her music.

Prior to her guesting, Marion had a successful tour in Canada.

This blog post has completely changed my perspective on music. It's a must-read for any music lover.
