Moira Dela Torre Releases Heart-rending Song ‘EME’

Two-time Wish Music Awards Artist of the Year Moira Dela Torre’s latest single, “EME,” has once again struck a chord and resonated with fans worldwide.

Weeks after Dela Torre sang the then-unreleased  “EME” during her sold-out kickoff concert at the Araneta Coliseum on February 3, 2023, the hugot hitmaker finally dropped her highly anticipated track on March 31, 2023. “EME,” which was written by the two-time Wish Music Awards Artist of the Year, is the sixth track on her upcoming album.

For those who have had their hearts broken, these striking and straightforward lines from the heart-wrenching ballad hit the hardest:

Kung magkaro’n man akong bago

‘Di ko kailangang magpaalam

Sa ilang taong nangloko, nagpaalam ka ba?

The spicy and infectious pop ballad is a courageous tell-all that chronicles the narrator’s post-breakup musings and regrets. The song’s official lyric video has more than 610,000 views as of writing.

During her Araneta concert, she also performed her other unreleased songs, including “Red Flags,” “Under The Bathroom Sink,” and “Rewritten Vows.” Her new tracks featured her poignant storytelling and painted a vivid picture of the struggles of dealing with a broken heart and learning to move on.

On conquering the international stage

Dela Torre has already proven herself to be a world-class artist with her viral hits and sold-out concerts. Right after her Manila stint, the “most streamed Filipina artist” serenaded her fans from North America and the Middle East.

Dela Torre also made history as the first Filipina to perform at the 16,000-seat Canada Life Center in Winnipeg, a premier sports and entertainment venue in Canada. The singer-songwriter wrapped her Canada leg at the Rajveer Banquet Hall in Calgary on April 1. She is currently gearing up for a homecoming show on May 1 at the Waterfront Hotels in Cebu.
