Morissette Gears Up For ‘Morissette is Made’ Cebu, Dubai Legs

The soaring vocals of Asia’s Phoenix Morissette will once again resonate in the concert scene as she is set to bring her show titled “Morissette is Made” to Cebu and Dubai.

She first held the maiden show of the concert series, co-produced by Wish 107.5, at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum earlier in February this year.

The Cebu leg of “Morissette is Made” is slated on July 14, 8 PM PHT, at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino. With R&B heartthrob as a special guest, the anticipated event will serve as her first-ever homecoming concert since becoming a household name because of her world-class vocal prowess.

Previously during her Big Dome concert, she has paid tribute to her Visayan origins with her own take on “Puhon,” a song penned and popularized by sought-after Cebuano act, Kurt Fick.

In a press conference, the 22-year-old belter gushed that she is both “excited and nervous” for her upcoming show. “I’m very excited to share my journey to my fellow Cebuanos, and I’m excited to surprise Cebu,” she said in Cebuano.

Meanwhile, barely over a month after “Morissette is Made” Cebu, Morissette will be flying to Dubai to perform for her “Mowienatics” who are in the United Arab Emirates city. Fans of the singer from across different Middle East countries are also expected to attend the show.

The Dubai leg, which will feature singing heartthrob Sam Concepcion as a guest, is scheduled on August 17 (7:30 PM Dubai Time) at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

In an earlier interview with Wish 107.5, Morissette has sincerely expressed her gratitude for the station giving her the chance to have her own major solo show -- after only a span of five years since she was launched in the country’s music scene.

“I listen to Wish 107.5 all the time. Being the first artist that the station is producing a concert for and everything that goes with it is simply mind-blowing for me...I am truly grateful that Wish 107.5 trusts me...Life is full of surprises and I couldn’t be more thankful for everything that’s happening in my career,” she mused.

Though she has had TV and theater stints before, the multi-awarded diva rose to nationwide prominence when she joined The Voice Philippines in 2013. She gained attention from music lovers across the globe with her viral performances aboard the Wish 107.5 Bus, the most popular of which is her own spin to Little Mix’s “Secret Love Song.”

All of her “Wishclusives” (she currently has 9) have garnered a massive near-165 million views as of writing.
