Pinoy Artists on Upcoming Wish Bus USA Launch: ‘OPM is Worth Bringing to International Stage’

Fueled by its desire to bring Filipino music to the international stage, Wish 107.5 is taking a big leap as it unveils a new Wish 107.5 Bus at the Universal CityWalk Hollywood in Los Angeles, California.

The state-of-the-art musical vehicle is set to roll down the streets of the entertainment capital of the world on September 7, 6 p.m. PDT (September 8, 9 a.m. PHT).

According to Wish 107.5 creator Kuya Daniel Razon, who is also a staunch supporter of Original Pinoy Music or OPM, having a “Wish Bus in Hollywood will fortify Filipino presence in that city, where all great things in music thrive, and where most dreams to be global come true.”

Wish 107.5 innovator Kuya Daniel Razon shares a new Wish Bus will be unveiled on September 7 in Hollywood during his speech at the station’s fourth anniversary celebration.

This noble cause has earned the nod of several Filipino singers, who also showed excitement for the anticipated Wish Bus USA launch.

“I’d like to congratulate Wish and the people behind it for reaching the status wherein you’re now capable of bringing OPM to the other countries like the US. I think it’s a first in OPM history that there will be a Philippine mobile radio in Hollywood,” R&B crooner Daryl Ong said in an interview during the station’s fourth anniversary celebration.

“With what Wish 107.5 is doing, I think OPM is very much alive,” he added.

For US-based singer Michael Keith, one of the guest performers of the forthcoming Wish Bus launch, “OPM isn’t just any ordinary music...It’s music with much intention, and it’s music that you can relate on many levels,” making it worthy of international attention.

Agreeing to this sentiment, Annie Nepomuceno remarked: “OPM has a flavor of its own, and Filipinos are world-class talents. If we are seen and fans show their support, we can prove our market-worthiness.”

The Iowa-born performer-music teacher-producer, who will also grace the unveiling of the Wish Bus, also expressed her excitement for the landmark event, “I am very happy to be part of this revolutionary way of bringing music to the people!”

Other music stars who will perform at the event include DJ Robin Nievera, YouTube star AJ Rafael, and 90s sensations Introvoys and Perf De Castro.

Meanwhile, R&B Prince and Wishcovery host Kris Lawrence shared that the presence of the radio mobile will leave a great impact to the global music scene.

Prior to the Wish Bus USA inauguration, Wish 107.5 has made a mark among music fans across the globe through its YouTube channel.

Considered as the leading FM YouTube channel in the Philippines, the page takes pride in hundreds of Wishclusives, majority of which are performed by Filipino artists. Its over-three-million subscribers are composed of followers from the country, US, United Arab Emirates, and Canada among others.
