Rico Blanco Conquers the Big Dome

After more than two years of pandemic-related restrictions, OPM rock royalty Rico Blanco officially jump started a new era of the OPM concert scene with his successful show held on September 11, 2022, at the Big Dome. The KDR Music House-produced concert is believed to be the first major indoor music event to have garnered exceptional crowd numbers locally even during the pandemic.

The OPM legend rocked the Coliseum with a slew of his high-energy hit songs, including “Antukin,” “Elesi,” and “Umaaraw, Umuulan.”  The thousands of audience members in attendance enjoyed his heartfelt renditions of  his timeless OPM anthems, “214,” “Balisong,” and “You’ll Be Safe Here.” Showing his dynamicity and versatility on stage, Rico Blanco filled the Big Dome with energetic performances of “Happy Feelin’,” “Pinoy Tayo,” and “Posible.”

Rico Blanco also shared the stage with OPM hitmaker Ebe Dancel and performed the heartwrenching hit song,  “Wag Mong Aminin.”  The former frontman of Sugarfree also performed his other musical creations, “Bawat Daan,” “Huling Unang Sayaw,” and “Burnout,” on stage.

During the concert, Wishcovery Originals’ grand winner and KDR Music House artist Peniel also gave her unique take on some Pinoy pop-rock classics —  Imago’s “Sundo”  and Kitchie Nadal’s “Same Ground.” She also performed her original song, “Moon’s Offer,” which is now available on all digital platforms.
