Rockin’ Rocksteddy on the Roadshow

Literally and metaphorically a vehicle for live performances of exceptional and upcoming OPM talents, the Wish 1075 Bus continues to take homegrown music to the streets and into the hearts of local fans. Tagging along this time is the popular Pinoy novelty rock band Rocksteddy.

Lead singer Teddy Corpuz, together with his bandmates Jeff Cucullo, Christian Sindico, and Juven Pelingon, enjoyed their brief stay at the Wish 1075 Bus where they performed their music while driving around the Quezon City Elliptical Road on June 9.

The sought after band promoted their newest venture, “Rapsteddy: Kinagat ng Seven Lions,” which showcases their own take on alternative and rap music.

During their guesting, the band performed their single, “Katol.” Listeners and passers-by were treated to a live performance of their popular hits, “Superhero” and “Break na Tayo.”

Rocksteddy’s latest album also provided opportunity for the band to work with leading rap artists in the country. In “Katol”’s studio version, the group collaborated with rising rap artist, Jeff Rogad.

Rocksteddy was formed in 2003 and released a debut album, entitled “Tsubtsatagilidakeyn,” in 2006. Some of the group’s memorable hits include “Dedma, “Gising Na” and “Smile at Me.”

The group also released three more albums, namely “Break Na Tayo,” “Ayos Lang Ako” and “Instadramatic” before launching their 2014 alternative/rap album.

This blog post has completely changed my perspective on music. It's a must-read for any music lover.
