Sarah Geronimo Goes Unplugged in ‘The Great Unknown’ Show

Popstar royalty Sarah Geronimo shared a special moment with her fans as she staged an intimate, sold-out “The Great Unknown Unplugged” show at the Kia Theatre Tuesday night.

Geronimo is promoting her latest studio album, “The Great Unknown,” which features ten tracks and special collaborations with Hale and Yeng Constantino.

According to the OPM star, she is thankful for her 12th studio album as it gave her a platform to showcase her versatility as an artist. The sound of her newest record combines pop, ballad and EDM elements.

“Each song has a story to tell and I want to share it with you,” she remarked before her loyal Popsters, adding that she believes she is on the right track in her journey of showing a new side of her with the release of “The Great Unknown.”

Apart from delivering laid-back renditions of all the songs from her brand new album, she also paid tribute to the singing/songwriting duo Thyro and Yumi, performing their compositions, “Ikot Ikot” and “Kilometro.” The tracks, different-sounding from the romantic ballads that were staples in Geronimo’s previous records, became major hits for the pop star.

Special guests who shared the stage with the 28-year-old artist include her father, Delfin Geronimo, Hanna Flores and one of her favorite bands, Hale.

Attendees who bought her latest music offering also got the chance to meet and greet the OPM icon.

“The Great Unknown Unplugged” is presented by Viva Live.
