Theater Actress Sheena Bentoy Graces Wish 107.5 Bus with ‘You Nurtured It’ Performance

Multi-talented artist Sheena Bentoy — best known for playing Nala in the Manila leg of the “Lion King” Broadway adaptation — recently graced the Wish 107.5 Bus with a heartfelt performance of “You Nurtured It.”

The song, which features a melody fit for a musical theater production, celebrates the role of mothers in nurturing the innate gifts of their children. In this piece originally written for milk brand Promil, the 11-year-old-act gives tribute to these special women while showcasing her sweet and pristine vocals.

”[The song is ] about how my mom nurtured my gift and how she supported me throughout my journey,” Bentoy shared during her Wish Connect feature on October 2, Friday.

Speaking on the Facebook Live program, she further shared inspiring words to her fellow children who are also in their formative years.

“Never give up, keep going, and always keep your feet on the ground. Stay humble. No matter what you achieve, you always have to remember the struggles and the things that you have to go through,” the international theater actress remarked while emphasizing that she herself “is still learning and discovering things.”
