Sitti Performs Bossa-fied Hits on the Roadshow

The country's ‘Bossa Nova’ queen Sitti brought a relaxing and soothing feel to the Wish 107.5 Bus as she joined the Roadshow on September 21, to promote her latest album, “Singles Bossa Nova Trio.”

Sitti sweetly serenaded the crowd along Quezon Avenue with some of the tracks included in the album such as “Ligaya” and “All I Ever Wanted.” The audience was filled with nostalgia when she sang her hit song “Para Sa Akin”

According to Sitti, her new album is very different compared with her previous records. She recounted that together with guitarist Erskine Basilio and percussionist Diego Martinez, they went out of the studio and recorded the songs in a house in Rizal.

The experimental recording led to a fun jamming session that breathed new life to her previously known hits such as “Girl From Ipanema,” “Tattooed on my Mind,” and “Para Sa Akin.”

Sitti shared that her carrier single, “Ligaya,” defines her life as a married woman. “There’s just so much joy and gratefulness surrounding that song,” she said about the classic Eraserheads hit.

She also expressed her gratitude for her fans, “I love all my fans. I wish I could gather all of them in one area and give them big, fat, bossa kisses! Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
