Sponge Cola Brings Hits to the Streets via Roadshow Gig
Sponge Cola jammed with Wish jock Jelly Kiss on the Roadshow last Thursday and brought the “bus” down with their latest single, “Move On,” right smack in the middle of the road.
The band is currently promoting their repackaged 5th studio album, “Ultrablessed Thank You Edition”. The single was originally recorded with teen star Jane Oineza.
The band also delighted their fans with fresh renditions of their hits such as “Jeepney,” “Tuliro,” and “Tambay." They also did a medley of “Puso,” “Kay Tagal Kitang Hinintay,” and “Panaginip."
Frontman Yael Yuzon found the Wish 1075 Bus experience “surreal.”
“It’s just fascinating the way that you get to entertain people,” Yuzon added.
Spongecola was formed in 2003 and is composed of Yael on lead vocals and guitars; Gosh Dilay on bass; Armo Armovit on lead guitar and Tmac Cruz on drums.
Sponge Cola is a three-time “Favorite Group” awardee in the MYX Music Awards. Their award-winning albums and singles are also constant chart-toppers.
Furthermore, the band has also collaborated with other big OPM artists including Yeng Constantino, Gloc-9, and Chito Miranda of Parokya ni Edgar.
