Offering a night filled with good music that evokes memories of the good old 2000s, Pinay rock idols Acel Bisa, Aia de Leon, Barbie Almalbis, Hannah Romawac, Kitchie Nadal, and Lougee Basabas — members of the supergroup Tanaw Collective — staged their comeback concert at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City on February 9, 2025."

Kicking off the night was Aia de Leon who delighted the crowd with some of her signature tracks, “Akap,” “Sundo,” and “Taralets.” Hannah Romawac's on-stage performances followed her set. “Sana Naman,” “Suntok Sa Buwan,” and “Cool Off,” were some of the hugot tracks she played.

During Acel Bisa’s set, she rendered uber-relatable hits, such as “Torete,” “Ang Pag-ibig Kong Ito,” and “Sulat.” Continuing the nostalgic momentum of the evening, Lougee Basabas took center stage and performed “Mata,” “Mula Noon,” and “Tumatakbo.”

When it was time for Kitchie Nadal’s performance, the crowd became even more ecstatic. Returning to the Philippines after migrating to Spain, she delivered a stellar set, which included “Bulong !!!”, “Same Ground,” and “Huwag Na Huwag Mong Sasabihin.”

Just as jam-packed as the others’ stints, Barbie Almalbis also dished out a solo set that featured well-loved hits like “Tabing Ilog,” “Torpe,” and “Just A Smile.”

The newly formed supergroup capped off their repeat concert with their renditions of “TALINGHAGA,” “Buhangin,” The Cranberries’ “Zombie,” and IV of Spades’ “Mundo.” They also showcased their debut single as a collective: a poignant remake of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide.”

Considered OPM rock queens in their own right, the ladies took everyone on a trip down memory lane as they brought their timeless hits — mostly from the 2000s — to the stage.

On releasing their single, ‘Landslide’

In a Wish Bus interview, the ladies commented on being a collective: “We’re built to be a community, we’re better together.” They first performed together back in 2022, with their first “Tanaw” show proving their rapport.

Commemorating their formation as a supergroup, they recently released their version of the 1975 hit, “Landslide.” This track signaled new beginnings — both in their careers and their personal lives.

In a press release, Almalbis shared that “Landslide” is a song they all know and love. “I think each of us has covered it at some point. The first version I actually heard was the Smashing Pumpkins cover. I was in high school, and I immediately connected with it. The song’s themes of life, love, and the shifting seasons have only deepened in meaning for us as we’ve all grown older together,” she recalled.

“This seems to have launched the habit of us recording songs after we have jammed it,” said de Leon, recalling when Romawac conceived the idea to record the said track.

“I can’t stress enough how awesome it truly is to be able to have all these tools and technology available to artists nowadays. All of us have recording capabilities at different levels. For this track, we recorded in different places—  Barbie’s home studio became the hub for Acel, Lougee, and Hannah, while Kitchie recorded her vocal takes with her trusty Rode condenser mic in her home in Spain. I also recorded my vocal tracks here from home on the south side,” the “Akap” singer added.
