It doesn’t take a trained ear to recognize when a band has been performing together for a long time. In the case of watching The Corrs live, it’s even more evident.

The Irish family band — comprising siblings Andrea, Sharon, Caroline, and Jim — has proven, time and again, their effortless chemistry. And it’s the kind that can only be produced from a lifetime of playing together.

The quartet, along with their talented band members, showed just that as they took over the Araneta Coliseum for a two-night show on February 15 and 16, 2025. Presented by Pulp Live World, the concert titled “From Manila With Love” came only a little over a year after they had last played in the country.

The Corrs, with an ageless passion for their craft, proved that their timeless music remains a gift that is always warmly received by their Filipino fans.

Thankful for a warm welcome

The night opened with “Only When I Sleep,” the lead single of their sophomore album, “Talk on Corners.” As soon as the spotlight turned to Caroline’s drumming, the crowd already knew they were in for a night of pure nostalgia. And when Sharon and Andrea stepped onto the stage, the Big Dome erupted in collective cheers, fully embracing an unforgettable evening with the beloved Irish music act.

The Corrs wasted no time diving into their setlist, seamlessly transitioning into “Give Me a Reason.”

The band rose to prominence in the ‘90s and early 2000s. Having produced several hits and anthems that defined a generation — especially in the Philippines where music is deeply ingrained in its culture — it comes as no surprise that The Corrs are always welcomed.

Andrea expressed the band’s appreciation for their Filipino fans, “Magandang gabi, Manila. Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat. Every one of you, thank you so much for the warm welcome you’re giving us tonight and the love we feel every time we come to the Philippines.”

“You’re the most beautiful audience. We are so blessed, and we truly appreciate this. It’s remarkable how we are treated here,” she added, as she welcomed the crowd on Day 2 of their comeback concert in the country.

Sharon — whose prowess in playing the violin and harmonizing with Andrea was evident throughout the one-and-a-half-hour show — was in the limelight as she delivered an ethereal rendition of the instrumental “Lough Erin Shore.” This was followed by the hauntingly beautiful “Forgiven, Not Forgotten.”

Nostalgic through and through

The night featured a setlist that showcased the band’s heartfelt ballads and high-energy anthems. During “Summer Sunshine,” the audience basked in an uplifting glow, while “What Can I Do” prompted a sing-along — undoubtedly transporting many back to memories of being hopelessly in love.

Inching deeper into the night, the band continued to deliver one sublime rendition after another. With the raw vulnerability of artists and the impeccable showmanship of seasoned musicians, they performed “White Light,” “Closer,” “Don't Say You Love Me, ”and their stunning Celtic-inspired cover of “Little Wing” by The Jimi Hendrix Experience.

When Caroline stepped out from behind the drums to take on beatboxing, the show took on a more organic, intimate feel. For this segment, they performed “Joy of Life” — a fusion of two traditional Irish tunes — staying true to their musical roots. As a special treat for their Day 2 crowd, they performed “Love to Love You,” a song they said they hadn’t performed in years.

Then came “All the Love in the World,” a dreamy song that captures the feeling of falling in love and being ready to give it your all.

The momentum only kept going. With Caroline back behind the drums, The Corrs performed “Radio,” “Queen of Hollywood,” their signature cover of “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac, and the ever-defiant “I Never Loved You Anyway.”

When they performed “So Young,” the Big Dome crowd got up to their feet — dancing and singing as if the audience members (mostly Millennials) were back in their younger years. The energy soared even higher as the iconic intro of their debut single, “Runaway,” resounded throughout the venue. The sing-along was even more palpable this time, making it a truly memorable night for both the band and the fans.

After this song, the band made a brief exit. But no concert is complete without an encore — and no Corrs concert is complete without “Breathless.” A no-brainer choice, the band returned to the stage to deliver the much-anticipated performance of the night. The Corrs then capped off the evening with the folk tune “Toss The Feathers” and a promise to reunite with their Filipino fans again.
