TONEEJAY, Arthur Miguel, and More Kick-Start Summer Season With Aquatic Beats Concert

Wish 107.5 and Aqua Planet kicked off the summer season with a splash of good music and good vibes.

This year’s installment of the Aquatic Beats concert series featured hitmakers and up-and-coming acts. The event, held at the Clark Freeport Zone in Mabalacat City, Pampanga on Saturday, March 16, was top-billed by Wish Award-winning act TONEEJAY and singer-songwriter Arthur Miguel.

Reggae group Yah Bles and rising solo acts Pupa Dadivas, Brei Binuya, and Adelene Rabulan completed the roster of performers.

For Aquatic Beats, TONEEJAY performed his originals, including “711,” a chart-topping song on Billboard Philippines’ Philippines Songs chart. He also performed the 9th WMA-winning track “Ang Bawat Piyesa (Secret Verse Ver.),” the soon-to-be-released “Aurora,” and “Parang Magic.”

Before wrapping up his set, TONEEJAY shared his thoughts about the event, “‘Yung ganitong mga outing, maraming core memories ‘no? Mapapa-main character moment ka… Andami mong realization [na], ay marami palang nagmamaghal sa akin, ‘yung parang ganon. Marami kayong mga ibabaon ‘pag-uwi.”

Another hitmaker — garnering 3.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify — graced the stage. For his stint, Arthur Miguel performed “Lihim,” “Isaoras,” “Ang Wakas,” and “Ghinost.”

During his heart-rending set, he also gave a glimpse into his future offerings. He stated, “Thank you so much… Sana abangan niyo ‘yung mga i-rerelease kong songs in the future kasi medyo iba na siya. Sana magustuhan niyo. Thank you so much for streaming my songs. Sana wag kayo magsawa.”

The event also featured KDR Music House’s acoustic-reggae group Yah Bles. They performed renditions of Tropical Depression’s “Kapayapaan” and Bituin Escalante’s “Kung Ako Nalang Sana.” They also rendered their original— “Bakasyon Grande” and an unreleased song titled “Pagbigyan Mo Na.

Adelene Rabulan, Tawag Ng Tanghalan’s seven-time defending champion, rendered her take on Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer,” TikTok sensation Muni Long’s “Made For Me,” BINI’s “Pantropiko,” and a special performance of the Aqua Planet jingle.

Multi-hyphenate act Pupa Dadivas also performed a song called “Make Me” and a rendition of Hozier’s “Work Song.”

Brei Binuya, a promising talent as seen in MNL48 and Idol Philippines, showcased her angelic voice with the rendition of “Yakap” by Junior and an original called “Kung Sakaling Magkita Tayo.”

DJ Patrick Spillers’ upbeat music spiced up the opening of the show, complementing the energetic hosting of DJ Alex Baltazar.
