Wish 107.5 Brings SUD and The Voysing to PUP Manila
Up and coming bands SUD and The Voysing treated the scholars of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) Sta. Mesa, Manila to a cool mix of youthful music as Wish 107.5 stationed the Wish 107.5 Bus at their campus on March 4, Friday.
The sound of SUD
SUD, composed of five members hailing from the UST Conservatory of Music, serenaded the crowd and on-air listeners with their own music style as they covered VST and Company’s Ipagpatawad Mo and Blackstreet’s 90s hit, "No Diggity."
The band also performed “Sila,” an original that earned them a huge following in the local underground music community.
While performing live, the band also earned tweets of love and support from their fans and colleagues in the industry.
“SUD’s voice over the radio sounds very handsome,” the official Twitter account of fast-rising band Miles Experience posted.
Shahara, another listener, tweeted, “Currently stuck in traffic, but all my bad vibes went away because of SUD.”
The Voysing covers Maroon 5
Carrying on the wishful musical experience, The Voysing offered an awesome set performing their usual repertoire —The Beatles and The Eraserheads hits. But what highlighted their act is their cover of Maroon 5’s “Sunday Morning.”
According to the trio, they wanted to offer “something new” for their fans and showcase their versatility as an artist.
The band also shared that their rendition of the Maroon 5 classic is a gift for their supporters. They also performed their latest single, Hi Jane.
Apart from their live Roadshow guesting, The Voysing further provided a mini-concert broadcasted from the Wish 107.5 exclusively for the PUP community. The line-up included OPM hits such as “Ligaya” and “Huling El Bimbo.”
PUPians share their wishes.
A day ahead of the Wish Bus tour to the campus, the station has already put up its Wishing Wall ready to welcome the wishes of PUPians. Nearly 1,500 wishes were gathered by Friday eve.
The scholars’ wishes ranged from simple expressions of academics-related musings to touching dreams for their loved ones.
“I wish to pass all my subjects this semester, para sulit ang pinang-tuition,” Wisher Andrea Rosal shared.
Pauline Liboon, another PUPian, said, “I wish to finish our thesis. It will really mean a lot to me and my thesis mate. We are working hard to come up with a thesis that will make all the professors we had, proud.”
Meanwhile, 17-year-old Josephine Flores wrote, “I wish for my family’s safety. They are always included in my prayers.”
