Wish 107.5 Kicks Off Auditions for Wishcovery Season 2

Auditions for the brand-new season of Wishcovery, Wish 107.5’s hit online singing competition, are set to kick off on August 1, Wednesday.

The first leg will be held at Robinsons Naga, followed by Robinsons Place Malolos in Bulacan on August 9.

The radio station’s talent search aims to “wishcover” singing gems who have the potential to become the country’s next musical sensation.

However, unlike its maiden edition, Wishcovery Season 2 will be limited to Filipino amateur singers aged 18 to 25 years old. The aspiring participants should be a student enrolled in a college or university, and should not have any recording or talent management contract.

‘The Singer and The Song’

Themed “The Singer and The Song,” the upcoming season of Wishcovery will tap the expertise of seven esteemed Filipino songwriters, namely Noel Cabangon, Boy Christopher, Jungee Marcelo, Moy Ortiz, Rannie Raymundo, Vehnee Saturno, and Top Suzara.

Each composer is tasked to gather 12 Wishfuls who will undergo a series of sing-offs. Their goal is to find the singer who will have the best voice to breathe life to the OPM piece they intend to create.

According to Marcelo, who was a resident judge-reactor in the first season of Wishcovery, the show is a platform that “really blesses a lot of people -- people who really need a break.”

Earlier in June, Wishcovery Season 1 grand champion Princess Sevillena and runners up Kimberly Baluzo, Louie Anne Culala, Carmela Ariola and Ace Bartolome have successfully released their debut album titled “Wishful Journey.” The record, which was a platinum hit, was launched through a partnership between BMPI and Star Music.

BMPI, which stands for Breakthrough and Milestones Productions International, is the content provider for Wish 107.5.
