Wish 107.5, PH’s No. 1 FM YouTube Channel, Reaches 2 Million Subscribers

January 23, 2018 — With only three and a half years since its launch, Wish 107.5’s YouTube channel has already garnered two million subscribers.

As of writing, the leading FM YouTube page in the Philippines is also the sole FM radio station that has received the prestigious Gold Play Button. The recognition is given to YouTube content creators that have amassed at least one million subscribers.

The station hit the one-million mark in March last year.

High-definition Wishclusive videos

Wish 107.5 started creating first-rate music videos called “Wishclusives” in hopes of sharing the performances staged on board the Wish 107.5 Bus to more people, especially to those who have missed watching their favorite artists sing live inside the popular FM-studio-on-wheels.

“For us to be able to hit the social media as well, we decided to come up with an HD video production [with] good, quality audio that will give our YouTube viewers the same experience of what the artists really sound like inside the [Wish Bus],” Kuya Daniel Razon, CEO and President of Breakthrough and Milestones Productions International (BMPI), shared in an interview.

BMPI is the company that provides and manages content for Wish 107.5.

“What we offer are quality video and audio. I think this is the reason why our subscribers stick with our channel, despite the emergence of new music channels,” Mr. Gerardo Etorma III, BMPI’s Vice President for Radio, said.

Fans from across the globe

According to YouTube Philippines, Wish was the fastest-growing channel in 2016, tallying a 236-percent increase in its number of subscribers for the said year alone. These netizens come not only from the country but from other parts of the globe as well, including America, Brazil, UAE and Australia.

“Wish 107.5 has got fans all over the world including myself here in the United States. I just want to say thank you for always bringing great music and giving artists a platform to share their gifts,” J Smooove, a YouTube reactor based in California, exclaimed.

YouTuber Nischal Grung of Auckland, New Zealand also commended the advocacy of the station to bring Filipino music beyond the archipelago.

“Wish 107.5 has broken barriers. People not only in the Philippines can appreciate the talent of their artists; people around the globe can watch it as well,” he shared.

Wish gives back

To celebrate this milestone, Wish 107.5 is set to fulfill 2 million peso-worth of wishes. The wishes will be selected from the Wishing Walls that were put up in different malls, schools and other establishments across the country.

A student from the Technological University of the Philippines posts a wish note on the Wishing Wall.

Apart from its YouTube channel, the station is known for its various charitable endeavors. On a regular basis and during notable events, such as its anniversary and the annually-held Wish Music Awards, Wish 107.5 grabs the opportunity to reach out to the needy.

In a separate interview, Kuya Daniel shared that through the station, he wanted to grant “not only the wish for music that [the listeners] want to hear, but also the different wishes of different people from all walks of life.”
