Wish 107.5 Treats PLM Scholars to Coolest Musical Experience

Wish 107.5 brought the first FM-on-wheels to the grounds of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM), along with a roster of cool performances by OPM artists, as the station joined the university’s 50th founding anniversary celebration on December 4.

The revelry kicked off with the PLM Singing Bae Contest, where the finest voices of the university showcased their talent while onboard the Wish 107.5 Bus. A crowd of proud iskos and iskas surrounded the bus and cheered for their schoolmates.

The station set up a “Share-a-Wish” station where a huge wishing wall captured the curiosity of the scholars, inviting them to share their wishes for others on the iconic Wish 107.5 trademark. Special Wish 107.5 merchandises were also handed.

Meanwhile, the PLM students also showed off their songwriting skills at the Iskomposisyon Competition.

Greeting the evening with screams and shouts, the crowd were stunned as Wish 107.5 started staging live performances of today’s finest OPM acts from the Wish Bus. The special Roadshow episode featured some of the nominees of the first Wish Music Awards (WMA) – Hazel Faith, Jessica Reynoso, Jensen and The Flips, Lunar Lights, The Voysing and Jason Fernandez.

The WMA nominees also pulled off the PLM Wish Music Festival, an extravagant music escapade for hundreds of PLM scholars.

“We are glad the Wish 107.5 Bus was able to touch the PLM grounds,” Enrique San Juan, the university’s supreme council president, shared, adding that the experience was something new for his fellow iskos and iskas.

He also lauded the station’s “Share-a-Wish” advocacy, “If there’s something that the PLM community learned, it’s that wishes are best shared to others, especially to those who need them the most.”

“A day is not enough to show how we appreciate your station being with us in this momentous time of our university. Please continue your advocacy to showcase the talents of our rising OPM artists,” he said.
