Wish 107.5 Ultimate Fandom Challenge Kicks Off With Online Voting, Twitter Trending Battle

Thousands of members from contending fandoms in the first Wish 107.5 Ultimate Fandom Challenge started casting their votes online, sending Twitter abuzz on April 25.

This marked the start of the friendly competition that aims to put the fandoms on spotlight and showcase the significant role they play in their favorite artist’s musical career.

The elimination round is comprised of online voting (50%) and Twitter trending battles (50%).

Fandoms may vote online via www.wish1075.com/wishfandom until 12 noon of May 17 using their Facebook and Twitter accounts. Only one vote per account is allowed daily.

Darrenatics, the official fandom of total perofrmer Darren Espanto, leads the online voting with 48 percent as of this writing. Meanwhile, Juanistas, the fandom supporting the fast-rising OPM band, The Juans, topped the first Twitter trending battle.

For the four-hour trending battle, the fandoms were challenged to get their own hahstags or official trending topic to the country’s trends list. Points were allotted to the fandoms who were able to sustain their position on the list every top of the hour.

Juanistas’ hahstag, #WishFandomJuanistas, trended for at least three hours and peaked at the no. 1 spot.
The second Twitter trending battle is set on May 15. The final four will be announced on May 17.

The other fandoms vying for the first Wish 107.5 Ultimate Fandom title include Callalista United for Callalily, Darylnatics for Daryl Ong, Dyfenders for Jason Dy, Esang’s Angels for Esang De Torres, Francisnatics for Francis Ryan Lim, JBKlisters for JBK, Juan Karlos United Families Club for Juan Karlos Labajo, Mowienatics for Morissette Amon, Paollowers for Paolo Onesa and SweetBryterNatics for Bryan Termulo.

More intense battles await the top four contenders for the final round. A total of Php 2 million will be given to the fandoms, their artists and chosen beneficiaries in the culminating event on June 20 at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.
