Wish 107.5’s YouTube Channel Hits 100 Million Views
The country’s no. 1 FM YouTube Channel has reached another milestone! After over two years and three months since its launch, Wish 107.5’s YouTube page has now garnered an accumulated views of 100 million.
The social media platform is primarily known for its “WISHclusive” videos that highlight the musicality of today’s finest artists.
Nonetheless, besides showcasing the world-class artistry of OPM acts, the channel also serves as local talents’ online gateway to the world. A number of WISHclusive videos have been lauded not only by netizens from across the globe but by entertainment figures as well.
Most recently, American reggae singer Matisyahu praised Bugoy Drilon’s cover of his hit, “One Day,” upon watching the latter’s performance on Wish 107.5 Bus. He even invited the OPM singer to join him for a duet at an upcoming music festival in California.
In a WISHclusive interview with him during the Wonderland, the reggae star commended the idea of uploading videos on the premiere YouTube channel. Describing the Wish bus concept as “cool,” Matisyahu was amazed by the existence of a fully-equipped FM-on-wheels that brings music closer to people.
Meanwhile, Morissette’s thrilling rendition of Little Mix’s “Secret Love Song” — another viral WISHclusive video — has also broken records for garnering 1 million hits per week. Currently, themind-blowing performance has already been viewed over 5 million times.
Wish 107.5’s YouTube Channel first caught global attention when Darren Espanto’s “Chandelier” cover was featured on the popular entertainment portal, 9gag.tv. The WISHclusive rendition also earned the praises of Nicki Minaj, Jessie J and Ashton Kutcher.
Espanto repeated history when his performance of “I Believe” also made the rounds online, even prompting Fantasia, the track’s original singer, to praise and share the video on her personal Twitter account.
Many other WISHclusive videos, including those of top-notch artists including Ogie Alcasid, Noel Cabangon, Ebe Dancel, Jolina Magdangal, KZ Tandingan, Jason Dy, Michael Pangilinan, Zia Quizon Jay-R and Kris Lawrence among others, have wowed music fans in the country and abroad.
The channel also continue to receive praises as OPM fans note that it has paved the way to relive the glory days of local bands. Since 2014, live mini concerts staged by different well-loved groups like Sponge Cola, Silent Sanctuary, Itchyworms, Six Part Invention, and Gracenote have also become staples in the YouTube page.
Apart from the performances of OPM talents, the station’s YouTube page is also home to Roadshow jams featuring international acts like Rex Smith, Big Mountain, Inner Circle, Belinda Davids, The Sam Willows, Arnel Pineda, Charice, and 4th Impact.
