As Wish 1075 Turns One, Artists Gather for a Grand Concert-on-Air

Over twenty artists from different genres provided a whole-day concert-on-air entertainment as Wish 107.5 turns one on August 10; embodying the station’s branding as an all-hits station.

Leading the pack were teen singing idol Darren Espanto and RnB’s next big name, Jason Dy. Both boarded the Wish 1075 Bus parked in front of the station’s headquarters in Brgy. Philam, EDSA, Quezon City, performing their own singles and covers of today’s most popular hits.

Darren belted high notes as he covered Sia’s “Chandelier” and his current single, “I Believe in Me.” Meanwhile, Jason performed his latest song, “Milagro,” for the first time on air and serenaded listeners with Sam Smith’s “Stay with Me.”

The anniversary celebration also included performances by up-and-coming jazz artist and saxophonist Philip Mahoney, and crooners Timothy Pavino, Brad Go and Daryl Reynes.

Several The Voice Philippines alumni also joined the event namely rock heartthrobs Bradley Homes and Jayson Fernandez; season one’s champ Mitoy Yonting and Janice Javier.

OPM bands Iktus, Lunar Lights and Square One also graced the anniversary event.

Wishers also got to hear the music of teen idol Maris Rascal; rapper Bassilyo along with indie band Jensen and the Flips.

Completing the roster of performers are theater actress/singer Gian Gloria, vocal group 5th Gen, Kenyo frontman Mcoy Fundales, singer-songwriter RJ Jimenez, and Wish 1075 regulars, The Voysing and Shanne Velasco.

Apart from the concert-on-air, Wish 1075 also gave away station merchandises like shirts and bags personally signed by the artists.

Wish 1075 was first launched on August 10, 2014 with an equally-grand concert staged at the World Trade Center. The event which also gathered big names of the OPM industry and aired live.
