From Bus to Web: Wish 107.5 Marks Two Years of Being Local Artists’ Gateway to the World

Since 2014, Wish 107.5 FM has been the source of cool musical experiences — from the state-of- the-art mobile radio bus that rolls around the metro to the station’s FM YouTube Channel that has become a home for phenomenal Wishclusive videos of the brightest and freshest musical artists.

The bus that has seen it all

The WISHclusive performances that fans enjoy on Wish 107.5 YouTube page all begin at this one-of- a-kind music booth.

The Wish 107. Bus, that takes the usual FM booth set-up on the road, is where the majority of the station’s exclusive videos are filmed.

Almost all of the artists who hopped on the bus exclaimed that their WISHperience is a wish-come-true, for according to them, they have never imagined themselves performing inside a moving bus while getting interactive with their fans and casual passers-by.

Sponge Cola’s Yael Yuzon once called it “surreal.” Rap icon Gloc-9 described the concept as “very fresh.” Singing champ Erik Santos said it was “something new” and “exciting.”

Seasoned performer Jolina Magdangal also shared she was overwhelmed to perform on such “stage.”

“First time ko mag-perform sa ganito, kakaiba yung feeling. Dahil sa Wish, nagawa ko ‘to at nakantahan ko kayo,” she shared with her unexpectedly huge crowd along EDSA- Monumento during her guesting in February.

X-Factor UK finalist 4th Impact meanwhile took to Twitter their excitement about their stint on the bus, “Finally! We had the chance to experience singing on the famous mobile radio bus!”

Even “Simply Jesse” singer Rex Smith, who boarded the bus in November 2014, was fascinated by the innovative FM experience.

“I woke up this morning; I crossed my fingers and made a wish. And my wish came true; I’m on the Wish 107.5 Bus!,” the international music icon said.

Online fount of Wishclusive music

With over 54 million accumulated views as of writing, the Wish 107.5 YouTube channel is still the undisputed online FM station that continues to cater to exclusively recorded performances of world-class OPM talents who have invaded the Wish 107.5 Bus.

The YouTube channel, popularly known for its first-rate audio and video quality, has also caught the attention and wowed international artists such as Jessie J, Ashton Kutcher, Nicki Minaj and Fantasia Barrino.

The performances have also earned multiple “reaction videos,” posted by YouTubers from abroad, praising Filipino talents.

“The amount of talent that’s been recently on this bus has been crazy,” one YouTube user remarked in his videos.

With two years and counting, Wish 107.5 continues to be a gateway for Filipino artists to introduce their music to the world while keeping its listeners smitten with the wishful musical experience it offers over the airwaves and over the web.

This blog post has completely changed my perspective on music. It's a must-read for any music lover.
